Hello and welcome to my little space on the Internet! My name is Sven, and I am an engineer living in Los Angeles. I work on cybersecurity problems and on applications of machine learning to solve them. You can find my professional biography below or take a look at the list of my talks and publications.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography, running, tennis, and diving. On this blog, I write about all things that interest me, with a slant to technology. Some noteworthy topics include:
- 8-bit computing and the Commodore 64, including my 8-bit game Cab Hustle.
- Wiring up electronics on breadboards such as my VGA signal generator made from discrete logic parts or my 6502-based breadboard computer.
- The occasional rambles on cybersecurity (when not published elsewhere).
Dr. Sven Krasser currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist at CrowdStrike where he leads the machine learning efforts utilizing CrowdStrike’s Big Data information security platform. He has productized machine learning-based systems for almost two decades, has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is co-inventor of more than thirty patented network and host security technologies.
